efficiency of academic supporting staff in university, and 2) to study relationship between burnout
and performance efficiency of academic supporting staff in university. The samples used in the study
were 361 staff in university. The research instrument was a questionnaire. Statistics used in data analysis
consisted of frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, partial correlation coefficient and Pearson's
correlation coefficient. The results revealed that 1) The mean of burnout was at a low level while the
performance efficiency was at a high level, 2) burnout negatively correlated with performance
efficiency of academic supporting staff in university at the statistical significance level of .01
(r = -.177). 3) The facet of burnout : emotional exhaustion did not correlate with performance
efficiency of academic supporting staff in university. 4) The facet of burnout : depersonalization,
positively correlated with performance efficiency of academic supporting staff in university at the

negatively correlated with performance efficiency of academic supporting staff in university at the
statistical significance level of .01 (r = - .323).
