Abstract:
The purpose of this research is to examine employees engagement and commitment on organization, especially to confirm the elements involved in employees engagement and commitment to SMEs in manufacturing industry in Pathum Thani province. The population was manufacturing industry workers in Pathum Thani province, where 400 employees were taken as the samples of this study. Both the qualitative and quantitative approaches were employed. For the qualitative data, in-depth interviews were conducted with 8 employees. The interview questions were constructed from analysis of related theories. For the quantitative data, a rating scale questionnaire was distributed to the samples. The reliability of the questionnaire was at 0.959. Statistical analysis was carried out using percentage, mean, standard deviation, and structural equation modeling. The results revealed that there were three elements related to employees engagement namely vigor, dedication, and absorption. The employees engagement was at the high level (x̅= 3.893). The value of the structure equation modeling was harmonious with the empirical data, x[superscript2] = 86.627, df = 72, p-value = 0.115, RMSEA = 0.023, RMR = 0.014, GFI = 0.974, and AGFI = 0.951. Regarding employees commitment to organization, there were three dimensional commitments involved; affective commitment, continuance commitment, and normative commitment. The employees commitment to organization was at a high level (x= 3.819). The value of the structure equation modeling was harmonious with the empirical data, with the empirical data, with the empirical data, with the empirical data, with the empirical data, with the empirical data, with the empirical data, with the empirical data, with the empirical data, with the empirical data, with the empirical data, with the empirical data, with the empirical data, with the empirical data, with the empirical data, with the empirical data, with the empirical data, with the empirical data, with the empirical data, with the empirical data, with the empirical data, with the empirical data, with the empirical data, with the empirical data, with the empirical data, X[superscript2]= 135.328, df = 116, p-value = 0.106, RMSEA = 0.020, RMR = 0.013, GFI = 0.966, AGFI = 0.945.
