Abstract:
The objectives of this study were as follow. 1) To study the level of opinions on the quality of work-life of operational level government officers of the Department of Land Transport (Central), Bangkok. 2) To study the level of opinions on organizational commitment of operational level government officers of the Department of Land Transport (Central), Bangkok. 3) To study the quality of work-life affecting on organizational commitment of operational level government officers of the Department of Land Transport (Central), Bangkok. There were 270 samples selected from operational level government officers of the Department of Land Transport (Central) by simple random sampling. The collection of data by the questionnaires. It was then analyzed using descriptive statistics such as frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation and the hypothesis test with multiple regression analysis.
The results showed that level of opinions on the quality of work-life in overall was at a high level. Consider by descending order; the first rank was the development of human abilities, followed by democracy in the organization, the work environment, the balance between work and life, adequate and fair compensation. The organizational commitment of operational level government officers of the Department of Land Transport (Central), Bangkok was the first rank. The hypothesis testing showed that quality of work-life personality development in the issues of, the democracy in the organization, the balance between work and life affected the organizational commitment of operational level government officers of the Department of Land Transport (Central), Bangkok. With statistically significant at level .01. The results of this study can be used as a guideline for making the development and promotion for operational level government officers, creating satisfaction on working at the organization leads to the organizational commitment of government officers of the Department of Land Transport (Central), Bangkok.
