Abstract:
The purpose of this research was to study the personnel development of sports management in Thailand for the Asean community using the Delphi Technique which was recommended by specialists. The subjects of the study were interviewed to collect opinions and recommendations about the personnel development of sports management. The main ideas from the interview were the bases to gather the data on the second round using the rating scale. The colleded data from the subjects were analyzed by using Median: MD and Interquartile Range: IR The results of the research revealed that the personnel development of sports management in Thailand need to develop the competency in three aspects including knowledge, skills and attitude. The best performance needs to have proper procedures for the qualification and recruitment of personnel. Systematic human resource development, career path for the sports management personnel, motivational procedures for cooperation, proper payment and welfare need to be considered by the sports management. The results of the research suggest that sports management educational institutions or the sport science should design programs that develop the professors and students for Asean community. Also, the sports departments should give importance to personnel management system and keep them abreast of the sports development for Asean community.
