Abstract:
The objectives of this research were to study the opinions of employees towards work motivation, to explore employees' organizational commitment, and to investigate the relationship between work motivation and organizational commitment among employees at TakBai Civil Co., Ltd. The sample of this research was 159 employees at TakBai Civil Co., Ltd. The sample was selected based on a simple random sampling. A questionnaire was used to collect data. Data collected were then analyzed using statistics such as frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, F-test, Scheffe's method, pairwise comparison and Pearson's correlation. The results of analyzing work motivation indicated that overall work motivation was at a high level. An aspect with the highest mean was achievement. When organizational commitment factors were considered, overall organizational commitment was at a high level. An aspect with the highest mean was pride of being part of the organization. The samples with different personal factors, including gender, age, marital status, educational level, years of working experience, work position and monthly income had indifferent work motivation. The samples with different gender, age, marital status, educational level, years of working experience and work position had indifferent organizational commitment. However, the samples with different monthly income had different opinions towards organizational commitment. Lastly, work motivation was positively related with organizational commitment at a high level with a statistical significance level of 0.05
