Abstract:
The research of pain experience and self pain manage of people who works in Industrial factories are limited. This objective of descriptive research was to study work related to pain, pain experience, and self-pain management of the employee at UbonRatchathani Beverage industry. Random proportional allocation 4 groupsampling was applied. There were totally 207 participants. The research toolswere Brief Pain Inventory (BPI), and self-pain manage. The contentvalidity was verified by three experts, the index of Item-Objective Congruence (IOC) was 0.6-1.00. The reliability was tested; Cronbach Alpha Coefficientwas 0.91.The results found that the most participant was male and the averageage was 41.9 years old. Most participants had no underlying disease (74.4%), and 25.6 % of participants took the daily beverage average 1-3 bottles. The work related topain was sitting (63.8 %), there were 59.9% reported pain experience. The most areas of pain were the back, shoulder and waist. An average pain, worst pain and least pain in the past 7 days were 3.10, 4.06, 2.65 respectively. Pain tolerance was 4.68from 10. Of 76.3 % ofparticipants who reported pain used medication and massage to relieve their pain that was moderate effective. There was 45.4 % of participants learned how to pain management by themselves. The most effect of pain was emotion (average 3.11). Implications of research that the industrial factory should create the welfare program for employees including the annualy health check, training health education program and health promotion of employees.
