Abstract:
Currently, environmental problems are having wide-ranging effect on many sectors. As there has been significant technological advancements it has given rise to various useful applications. The government encourages use of technology through the Thailand 4.0 policy that focuses on moving towards a digital society in all sectors of society. The researcher proposes using the Internet of Things technology, which is part of the Thailand 4.0 policy, as a concept to create Smart Monitoring Station for Environmental measurements. Large scale production would make it economical and make unit prices affordable. This would enable general public to have access to these environmental measuring devices more conveniently. Smart Measurement Station for environment would monitor the environment around the station. The measurements would be for 10 environmental variables: humidity, temperature, dust, light, soil moisture level, distance, rainfall, vibration, sound and movement. The sensors in the smart Measurement Station can send the resulting data of the surrounding environment to a smartphone for data processing, which then could be presented in the form of a website. This would allow for environmental data analysis in the future.
