Abstract:
The purposes of this research were I) to develop rhetoric instruction model to enhance
speaking skill for Matthayomsuksa 2 students and 2) to compare students' speaking skill before the
experiment and that after the experiment. The sample group included the 43 of Matthayomsuksa 2/2
students as an experimental group and the other 43 of Matthayomsuksa 2/1 students as a control
group, who were obtained through cluster random sampling. Data were collected in the I semester of
academic year 2017. The research hinstruments involved 1) lesson plan and 2) speaking skill
assessment and were statistically analyzed by mean, standard deviation and t-test for Independent
Sample.
The findings were revealed as follows.
1. The developed rhetoric instruction model to enhance speaking skill for Matthayomsuksa
2 students delineated 1) theory/concept 2) objectives 3) learning processes ,ie,, stage 1 readiness, stage
2 guided response, stage 3 mechanism, and stage 4 complex overt response and 4) learning outcomes.
2. The speaking skill of control group and experimental group was different at significance
level 01. Mean of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group.
