Abstract:
The objective of this industrial research project is to study for the fuzz defect reduction of a plastic
packing tray made of polystyrene. The design of experiment at techinique is employed used to specify
appropriate production control status to reduce the fuzz from cutting process. There factors, which are
pressure, velocity, and length of cutting. Were design and used in 23 Factorial with Center Point
experiments. As a result, it was found that the appropriate values can be obtained the recommended
pressure of 1800 pounds per square inch with velocity at 63 inchs per second and the cutting length of 5
inchs. The defective products are decrease by 31.77 percent, which can reduce the production cost
approximately 206,340 baht per month.
