Abstract:
The purpose of this research was to study mathematical competencies of Project-based learning activities based on STEM Education for Grade 4-6 students. After studying with the criteria of 70 percent, the target group in this study were upper elementary students. BanKokKhokWittaya School, KhuMueang District, Buriram Province Under the Office of Buriram Primary Educational Service Area Zone 4 in the academic year 2019, consisting of 3 rooms, consisting of 21 people, by random sampling. The tools used in the research were 1.) 10 activity plan learning project plans based on the stem educational concept. 2.) 8 mathematical competency tests of 10 items with the characteristics of multiple choice, complexity, Writing responses and semi-structured interviews from the mathematical competency scale. Statistics for data analysis consist of frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation. Analysis of writings Analytical lecture And hypothesis testing using t-test (one simple t - test).
The results of the research showed that Mathematical competency study By using project-based learning management model based on stem educational concepts Of Grade 4-6 students Mathematics achievement, achievement After studying, the average score was 72.02 percent which was higher than the criteria Statistical significance at the level of .05 is classified according to the mathematical competencies of the students, which are arranged according to the ability to use mathematical performance high to low, namely the seventh, the use of symbolic language and operation (Using Symbolic, Language and Operation) Competency 1st Thinking and Reasoning Competency 6th Representation symbols (Representation) Competency 3rd Communication) Competency 4th Modeling. Competency 2nd Creating arguments. (Argumentation), Performance 5th, Problem Posing and Solving. Competency 8th, Using Aids and Tools, respectively.
