Abstract:
The purpose of this research is to : (1) synthesize a STEAM-GAAR Field Learning Model to Enhance Grit, (2) evaluate the STEAM-GAAR Field Learning Model to Enhance Grit, (3) synthesize a STEAM-GAAR Field Learning Model to Enhance Grit,
(4) to compare the pre-test and post-test grit score, (5) to compare a formative evaluation of the grit score with the criteria, (6) to study the correlation between grit score and learning achievement score, and (7) to approve the STEAM-GAAR Field Learning Model to Enhance Grit. The population consisted of 100 first year students who study in DGA 131 : Digital Art Applications, during the summer semester in the 2018 academic year at the Faculty of Digital Art, Rangsit University, Thailand.
The samples consisted of 38 first year students. Random segment sampling was used.
The findings were as follows :
1. The STEAM-GAAR Field Learning Model to Enhance Grit can be designed by dividing it into 4 elements : (1) Input Factors include : 1.1) The Expected Learning Outcome (ELO) 1.2) The learning objective 1.3) Teacher Analysis 1.4) Student Analysis 1.5) Content analysis 1.6) Environment Analysis and 1.7) The Learning Management Plan, (2) the STEAM-GAAR Field Learning Processes are 2.1) Investigate by Game
2.2) Discover by AR-Game 2.3) Connect by Animation and Game 2.4) Create by Game Animation and ARand 2.5) Reflect by Knowledge Exchange Field, (3) The Learning Outcomes are 3.1) grit and 3.2) learning achievement, (4) Analyzing feedback.
2. The STEAM-GAAR Field learning system is divided to 9 segments as follows : (1) Learning Management Plan, (2) Game for Learning, (3) Animation for Learning,
(4) AR for Learning, (5) Real World for Learning, (6) Virtual World for Learning, (7) Grit Rating Scale, (8) Grit Rubrics Evaluation, and (9) Learning Achievement Rubrics Evaluation.
3. Specialists agreed that the STEAM-GAAR Field Learning Model to Enhance Grit developed through this study demonstrates the highest level of appropriateness. (X¯ = 4.65, S.D. = 0.57).
4. Specialists agreed that the STEAM-GAAR Field Learning System to Enhance Grit developed through this study demonstrates the highest level of appropriateness. (X¯ = 4.74, S.D. = 0.45).
5. The comparation result of the post-test of grit after using the model was higher than the pre-test at a .01 level of significance.
6. The grit level after using the model developed above the 80 percent threshold (81.74 %).
7. The correlation between grit score and learning achievement score, are average correlation value at 0.77, which is nearly a total positive linear correlation.
8. The approval of the STEAM-GAAR Field Learning Model to Enhance Grit by specialists is at the highest level and accepted the quality of the model (X¯ = 4.90, S.D. = 0.24).
