Abstract:
The purposesof this research were 1) to investigate the levels of administrative factors affecting success in management of schools,2) to investigate the levels of success
in management of schools, 3) to study the relationship between administrative factors
and success in management of schools,4) to find out predicted equation for success in management ofschools ; and 5)to establish predicted equation for success in management of schools underBuriram Primary EducationalService Area office 2. The samples consisted of 487 administrators and teachers, selected by using Krejcie and Morgans table and stratified random sampling. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire comprised two parts : checklist
and five - rating scale with reliability level of0.97. The statisticsused to analyze the collected data were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient and Multiple Regression Analysis.
The results were as follows :
1. Administrative factors affecting success in managementof schools underBuriram Primary Educational Service Area office 2 was at a high levelin overall aspect. Having considered each aspect, it showed that the organization structure was ranked at the highest level, followed by motivation, atmosphere and culture of the organization, respectivelywhile communications was found at the lowest level.
2. The level ofsuccess in management of schools underBuriram Primary Educational Service Area office 2was, in overall aspect, at a high level. Having considered each aspect, it showed that thesatisfaction of the personnelwas ranked at the highest level, followed by academic achievementwhile theirstudent characteristicswas found at the lowest level.
3. All administrative factors had a positive relationship with success in management of schools underBuriram Primary Educational Service Area office 2 at the statistical significance of the .01level.
4. The variables that could predict the success in management of schools underBuriram Primary Educational Service Area office 2 at the statistical significance of the .01level were as follows :organization structure, motivation and information technology. In terms of leadership, atmosphere and culture of the organization, communications, budget, personnel development were not statistically different. These variables could be used together in order
to predict their success in management of schoolsat 61.60 (R2 = 0.616).
5. The predicted equation can be established below.
Predicted equation of raw scores :
= 0.460 + 0.317(X6) + 0.224(X3) + 0.175(X7) + 0.116(X1) + 0.086(X5)
- 0.081(X6) + 0.059(X8) - 0.003(X2)
Predicted equation of standard scores :
= 0.325(ZX6) + 0.231(ZX3) + 0.197(ZX7) + 0.116(ZX1) + 0.088(ZX5)
- 0.082(ZX6)+ 0.062(ZX8) - 0.003(ZX2)
