The Study of Learning Achievement and Research Skills of the Fourth Year Students at Yala Rajabhat University with a Learning and Teaching Focused on Research-Based Learning
Abstract:
This research aimed to study the learning achievement and research skills of the fourth
year students in the Faculty of Education at Yala Rajabhat University, enrolled in the course
of Education Research in the first semester of the academic year 2015. 43 undergraduates
were chosen by simple random sampling. The instruments used in this study were comprisedof a 40 items of learning achievement test in Educational Research course, and an evaluation
questionnaire of research skills which was composed of four skills, i.e., searching skills, analysis
skills, synthesis skills, and questioning skills. The data were analyzed by identifying mean,
standard deviation, and percentage. The research findings found that: 1) The students average
of learning achievement were 21.84 points or 72.79 of full scores. Thirty students or 76.74%
of total number of students received their scores passing criterion as 70% and up, passing
the specified criterion. 2) The students average scores of research skills were 15.14 points or
74.63 Thirty students or 86.04% of total number of students received their scores passing
criterion as 70% and up, passing the specified criterion.
