Abstract:
The purposes of this research were 1) to develop the curriculum to enhance English
reading skills by applying KWL Plus technic for Grade 6 students 2) to study the result of using the
curriculum by comparing score achievement between before and after using the curriculum. The
samples chosen by simple random sampling method were 40 students in the sixth grade of
Matayomwittaya School. The research tools were the curriculum to enhance English reading skills
by applying KWL Plus technic for Grade 6 students and English reading skill tests. The data
analyses were mean, percentage, standard deviation and t-test dependent.
The results found that
1) The results of quality evaluation of curriculum consisting in curriculum principle,
sessi objectives, key competencies, desirable characteristics, curriculum structure, learning activities, teaching aids and assessment and evaluation, and curriculum documents consisting in teacher's guide and teaching plans had appropriateness at the level of high.
2) The students' posttest scores were statically higher than pretest scores at the level of
0.01.
