Abstract:
The purposes of this research were to investigate and compare students' satisfaction with teaching
activities in the computer science program at Muban Chombueng Rajabhat University in the aspects
of curriculum, teachers, learners, evaluation, learning activities and factors supporting learning.
A sample of 162 computer science students was drawn from students who studied in the second
semester 2007. The instrument used to collect data in this research was a questionnaire with
a five - point rating scale. Reliability calculated by Cronbach Alpha Coefficient was 0.97. Data were
analyzed to calculate mean, standard deviation, t-test, one way Anova.
The results revealed that Computer Science students were satisfied at a high level with learning
activities in the Computer Science Program. In the aspect of learners, students' satisfaction was at
an average level. There were no gender differences in the six learning activities. Regular and special
students had different levels of satisfaction in the aspect ofteachers. In the aspects of evaluation and
factors supporting learning activity, computer science students in the first and second year had the
same level of satisfaction as students in the third and fourth year. The first and second year students
had a different level of satisfaction with curriculum from students in the third and fourth year.
Satisfaction was most different between students in the second year and those students in the fourth
year. Students in the first year had a different level of satisfaction than students in the second year
with the aspect of factors supporting learning. Students in the second year had a different level of
satisfaction with the aspect of factors supporting learning than the fourth year. In the aspect of
factors supporting learning activity, satisfaction was most different between students in the second
year and those students in the fourth year at the 0.05 level.
