A study of analytical thinking abilities and learning achievement on light of eighth grade students using inquiry learning method (5e)with kwdl technique
Abstract:
The purposes of this research were to compare analytical thinking abilities and learning achievement of students after using inquiry learning method (5E) with KWDL technique with before using the method, and to compare the analytical thinking abilities and learning achievement of students after using inquiry learning method (5E) with KWDL technique with the traditional instruction. The participants were two classes of eighth grade students from Sriracha School who studied in the second semester of 2016 academic year using cluster random sampling. The research instruments consisted of Inquiry learning method (5E) with KWDL technique lesson plans, analytical thinking abilities test, and learning achievement test. The data were analyzed by mean, standard deviation, t-test for dependent sample, and t-test for independent sample.
The results of this study indicated that:
1. The analytical thinking abilities and learning achievement of students after using inquiry learning method (5E) with KWDL technique were statistically significant higher than before using the method at the .05 level of significance.
2. The analytical thinking abilities and learning achievement of students after using inquiry learning method (5E) with KWDL technique were statistically significant higher than the traditional instruction at the .05 level of significance.
