Abstract:
The purpose of this research was to enhance mathematics learning achievement in
Power for Mathayomsuksa 5 students using STAD cooperative learning model by action
research. Target group for this research was 26 students studying in Mathayomsuksa 5/1 during
the first semester of 2015 academic year at Photakpit School, Nong Khai province, under
Secondary Education Service Area Office 21. This research was conducted through 3 action
spirals of action research method of Kemmis and McTaggart in which consisted of 4 steps
including 1) planning: studied the problems, related papers and researches, and created research
instruments, 2) practice: processed the teaching through lesson plan, 3) observation: used
instruments to collect data from practice, 4) refection: analyzed the data for improving learning
activities to be more efficient. Data was analyzed through value of mean and percentage before
summarizing in essay format. Research instruments were divided into 3 types including 1)
experiment instrument: 6 lesson plans created by using STAD cooperative learning model in
Power for Mathayomsuksa 5 students, 2) refection instrument: observation form for learning
management behavior of researcher, observation form for learning behavior of students, record
form for result of using lesson plan, interview form for students opinion in learning management
and end-of-spiral quizzes, 3) evaluation instrument for efficiency of learning management model:
test form for measuring learning achievement Mathematics in Power for Mathayomsuksa 5
students.
The findings of this study were students could have of learning achievement at
60.77%. The 73.08% of students could have learning achievement more than 60%.
