Abstract:
This research aimed to 1) study the strategic management components of the Office of Public Sector Anti-Corruption Commission to achieve efficiency in operations and 2) to offer Audit Checklist Tool for strategic management of the Office of Public Sector Anti-Corruption Commission that are appropriate, accurate comprehensive and useful. The research was both qualitative and quantitative research in itself. In terms of qualitative analysis, the study divided an interview for strategic management specialists into two rounds: firstly, provided a checklist with 130 questions, then it summarized and analyzed overall answers and data to structure the interview with 17 open-ended questions for the second one. Meanwhile, as a quantitative research, this study also observed a group of 291 samples from Office of Public Sector Anti-Corruption Commission. The data were analyzed in terms of percentage, average, Standard Deviation, factor analysis, and content analysis.
The results revealed that the strategic management applying in action composes of 15 components. However, only 6 components are suitable for the Office of Public Sector Anti-Corruption Commission: 1) suitability of human resources; 2) leadership; 3) concordance between organization structure and strategy; 4) review and selection of the best strategy; 5) year action plan; and 6) communication. The developed Audit Checklist Tool based on these components can assure the Office of Public Sector Anti-Corruption Commission the propriety, accuracy, and benefit according to the organization theories and strategic management principles.
