Abstract:
The aim of this research was to develop a laboratory instruction from a set of experimental learning by scientific methods under the hypothesis of that the experimental learning from a
real situation would yield higher achievement and cognitive abilities than the conventional method. Tools used in this study consisted of (1) a set of problem-solving experimental lab sheet
, (2) a set of conventional lab sheet, (3) a set of learning achievement test, and (4) a set of problem-solving test. A sampling group was 30 students who were studying in the first year of the
Diploma in Vocational Education programme in Electrical Power at Saraburi Technical College. They were divided into two groups of 15 students randomly. Both groups were tested before
and after the experiment. The experimental group learnt with a lab sheet and constructed kits, and the controlled group learnt with traditional laboratory sheets. The data were analyzed by t-test
statistic method.
The results of analyzed scores after learning analysis by T-test statistic showed that the experimental group obtained higher achievement than the control group at a level of 0.05. The study
also found that the experimental students possessed higher problem abilities than the control students in analytical process at a level of 0.05.
