Abstract:
The purposes of this research were 1) to develop a self-instructional package on journal production for the faculty of Educatons staffs with the 80/80 criterion. 2) to compare the pre-test and post-test scores after learning with the package, and 3) to study the opinion of the staff member at the Facultyof Education on the package. The participants of the study were 30 staff members at the Faculty of Education. The instruments used were: 1) a self-instructional package on journal production, 2) pre-test and post-test in journal production and 3) staff members opinion questionnaires. The package was developed by reviewing the literature on the problem, interviewing the editors and editorial assistant, developing the package, do the data analyzing and creating the self-instructional package on journal production. The package was tried out with individuals, groups, and field tested to find challenges and to revise the package accordingly. After that, it was implemented with 30 participants at the Faculty of Education, Burapha University. The data were analyzed by using : mean, standard deviation, efficiency of learning E1/E2, and t-test for dependent sample.
The results were that;
1. The self-instructional package on journal production and its properties for staff members, consisted of four units; they were; journal production foundation, types of journal articles, selection process and journal evaluation. The package possessed the efficiency level of 88.83/91.00, which met the set 80/80 criterion.
2. The post-test mean score after learning with the package were significantly higher than the pre-test mean score at the .05 level.
3. The staff members satisfaction was at high level. (X ̅ = 4.43, SD = 0.16)
