A study of learning achievement, Science Communication Skills and Teamwork Skiils on structure and function of angiosprems using 5E learning cycle and cooperative learning jigsaw i technique for Eleventh Grade Students
Abstract:
The purposes of this research were to compare learning achievement and science
communication skills of students before and after learning with 5E learning cycle and cooperative
learning jigsaw I technique and to study teamwork skills. The participants consisted of 39
eleventh grade students at Bansuan Jananusorn School in the second semester of academic year
2016. They were randomly selected by using the cluster random sampling method. The research
instruments included 1) Lesson plans using 5E learning cycle and cooperative learning jigsaw I
technique on structure and function of angiosperms, 2) Learning achievement test, 3) Science
communication skills test and 4) Teamwork skills evaluation form. The data were analyzed using
mean, standard deviation, dependent samples t-test and one sample t-test. The results showed that
1. The posttest scores of students learning achievement after using 5E learning cycle and cooperative learning jigsaw I technique on structure and function of angiosperms were statistically significant higher than pretest scores at the .05 level.
2. The posttest scores of students learning achievement after using 5E learning cycle and cooperative learning jigsaw I technique on structure and function of angiosperms were statistically significant higher than the 70 percent criteria at the .05 level.
3. The posttest scores of students science communication skills after using 5E learning cycle and cooperative learning jigsaw I technique on structure and function of angiosperms were statistically significant higher than pretest mean scores at the .05 level.
4. The posttest scores of students teamwork skills after using 5E learning cycle and cooperative learning jigsaw I technique on structure and function of angiosperms were at good level.
