Abstract:
The automotive industry in Thailand has continued growth trend and the automotive manufacturers become able to a leader in automotive industry effectively, supply chain management is important. The supply chain consists of supplier, automotive manufacturers, distributer and customers. Especially suppliers are the main point to driving the business and the acquisition of good parts, the supplier selection process is also important too. In this research, we have studied the sustainable supplier selection criteria from around the world and considered with the selection criteria appropriate to the automotive industry in Thailand, the total of 28 sub-criteria. After that, select the appropriate criteria using Delphi technique and Voting Analytical Hierarchy Process (VAHP) from the experts. Calculate the weight of the significance of the selected criteria using Noguchis strong ordering method and used factor analysis to reduce the duplication of the criteria. Throughout the process, the sustainable supplier selection criteria can be summarized into 3 factors are as follows: 1. Economic factor consists of (1) price of product, (2) transportation cost, (3) quality of product, (4) design capability, (5) technological & financial capability, (6) production facilities and capacity, (7) delivery and Service of product, (8) lead time preparation and flexibility and (9) company profile 2. Environmental factor consists of (1) green management, (2) environment management systems, (3) green R & D and Innovation, (4) green design and purchasing, (5) green manufacturing and (6) green packing. 3. Social factor consists of (1) occupational health and safety systems, (2) the rights of stakeholders and (3) information Disclosure. The sub-criterion can be summarized into 20 sub-criteria to be used as the decision-making guide in the Sustainable supplier selection for automotive industry in Thailand.
