Abstract:
This research studied a project management plan and the risks that may cause the project delay, a case study of paper rewinder installation, with total duration of 224 hours. The results from the analysis of project planning with the PERT technique by the Microsoft project 2013 program, showed that the critical activities on the project have operation time of 226 hours with variance on the critical path of 23 hours and project completion probability at 33.83 percent. Therefore, the risk assessment of critical activities was done to find out the cause of the project delayed. After that, risk reduction guidelines were implemented. In order to do the project crashing, the amounts of labor cost and additional equipment rental of 66,000 Baht or 1.65 percent of the value of the production opportunities loss were added. These amounts did not exceed the companys requirement at 5 percent of such value. According to the completion of risk reduction and project crashing plans, the operation time on the critical path was reduced to 208 hours together with 99.97 percent of project completion probability. Therefore, this project could be completed within the timeline
