Abstract:
This research was aimed tod) study leadership traits on health promotion behaviors regarding to exercise promotion of village volunteers in Buriram Province (2) study relationship between leadership and health promotion behaviors regarding to exercise promotion of village volunteers in Buriram Province. The research was combined both qualitative and quantitative methodology. Samples for qualitative method were 30 provincial level outstanding volunteers in 10 majors which recorded in the last three years. The data was collected by in-depth interview and observation then validated by triangulation technique. Data was analyzed by interpretation, classification and summarization. The quantitative data was collected from 395 samples by questionnaires with Cronbachs Alpha-coefficient at .938. The statistic parameters for data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation and correlation analysis.
The result from qualitative method was found that village volunteers in Buriram province had leadership traits included self-control, human control and service control. It was also found that their leadership related to personal factors and supported factors. The factors included knowledge, attitude and possibility to access provided places of health promotion behaviors regarding on exercises and health information communication.
The result from quantitative method was found that the most of village health volunteers in Buriram province were women. Their 3 leadership traits were at high level. The knowledge of health promotion behaviors regarding on exercises was found at high level. The attitude of health promotion behaviors regarding on exercises was found at high level of agreement. The possibility to access provided places of health promotion behaviors regarding on exercises were at high level. The health information communication- was at high level. The health promotion behaviors were found as regular activities. From the correlation analysis between independent variables, it was showed that leadership traits of self-control had the highest relationship to health promotion behaviors regarding on exercises with statistic significant level at 0.01. Then the traits of human control and service control were related at lower level respectively. The analysis of regression coefficient equations showed that the factors influenced health promotion behaviors regarding on exercises can explain variance of influenced level at 95.0 percent.
