Abstract:
The objectives of this study were to visualize lessons learned, extract a knowledge set about community participation in treatment, recovery and solving the drug problem, and be a road map for other communities in the future. The study is qualitative research. The study samples were a total of 15 administrative authorities, sanitarians and volunteers in the Saraphee Model project. All of them were selected from among starting members who are still in the project up to now. The study found that the factors affecting the Saraphee Models success were leadership, community participation, communication and the area. These four factors assisted the drug operation to succeed. Having a leader who can encourage the community to realize the drug problem, raise community awareness of owning the problem to be involved in solving, have coordination with other departments, both internal and external to create the project's help and supporting network, and using places which patients are familiar with, all of these helped patients to change their behavior in a better way. Suggestions from the study: To educate about solutions with community participation to boost drug operations in the area. Spread news and information covering all areas, people in the area can suddenly solve drug problems if the issue arises. Create a drug addict database and allow people in the area access to it, then they can help each other to inspect their own area.
