The effect of molding the plasticine on creativity in early childhood

Abstract: This research design was quasi experimental research. It was a Pretest - Posttest experiment. The purpose of the study was to study the effect of molding the plasticine in early childhood. The sample group were 16 kindergarten students aged from 4 to 5 years old. There were 8 students for the experimental group and 8 students for the control group. The experimental group participants attended 20 minutes plasticine sculpture activity for 16 times while the control group participated in normal activities. The study compared the creativity scores of the experimental group between before and after plasticine sculpture activity and also compared the overall creativity scores between the treatment group and control groups. The TCT - DP test were used in this research. The study found that 1. Creativity scores before and after treatment of the experimental group were higher with no statistically significant differences. 2. The average of creativity scores before and after treatment in overall and specific dimensions were different with not statistically significant. There were statistically significant differences of .004 and .047 in Fluency creativity scores and Flexibility creativity scores. 3. The average of creativity scores of the experimental group were higher than the creativity scores of the control group with no statistically significant differences.

Abstract: การวิจัยนี้เป็นการวิจัยกึ่งทดลอง (Quasi experimental research) ทำการทดสอบก่อนและหลังการทดลอง (Pretest – Posttest) โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาผลของการฝึกปั้นดินน้ำมันต่อระดับความคิดสร้างสรรค์ในเด็กปฐมวัย กลุ่มตัวอย่างคือนักเรียนชั้นอนุบาลที่มีอายุระหว่าง 4 – 5 ปี จำนวน 16 คน โดยแบ่งออกเป็นกลุ่มทดลองและกลุ่มควบคุม กลุ่มละ 8 คน กลุ่มทดลองเข้าร่วมกิจกรรมปั้นดินน้ำมัน ซึ่งจัดขึ้น 16 ครั้ง ครั้งละ 20 นาที ส่วนกลุ่มควบคุมเข้าร่วมกิจกรรมตามปกติ แล้วทำการเปรียบเทียบคะแนนความคิดสร้างสรรค์โดยรวมและรายด้านของกลุ่มทดลองระหว่างก่อนและหลังเข้าร่วมกิจกรรมปั้นดินน้ำมัน และทำการเปรียบเทียบคะแนนความคิดสร้างสรรค์โดยรวมระหว่างกลุ่มทดลองและกลุ่มควบคุมทั้งนี้ได้ทดสอบความคิดสร้างสรรค์ด้วยแบบทดสอบความคิดสร้างสรรค์จากการวาดภาพ TCT – DP ซึ่งผลการวิจัยพบว่า 1. คะแนนความคิดสร้างสรรค์ก่อนและหลังการได้รับโปรแกรมกิจกรรมปั้นดนน้ำมันของกลุ่มทดลองโดยรวมสูงขึ้น แต่แตกต่างกันอย่างไม่มีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ 2. คะแนนเฉลี่ยความคิดสร้างสรรค์ก่อนและหลังการได้รับโปรแกรมกิจกรรมปั้นดินน้ำมันโดยรวมและรายด้านแตกต่างกันอย่างไม่มีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ ยกเว้น ด้านความคิดคล่องแคล่วและความคิดยืดหยุ่น แตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .004 และ .047 ตามลำดับ 3. คะแนนเฉลี่ยความคิดสร้างสรรค์โดยรวมของกลุ่มทดลองสูงกว่ากลุ่มควบคุม แต่แตกต่างกันอย่างไม่มีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ
