Abstract:
The objectives of this study are to examine (1) customer buying behavior and the types of horoscope, (2) the relationship of sex, status, education levels and stress levels, and (3) the relationship of sex, status, education levels and the purchases frequency of horoscope services. Questionnaires were used to collect data from 400 people who purchased horoscope services. Statistics used in the study are percentage, frequency, mean, and standard deviation. One-Way ANOVA is used to test hypotheses.
The results showed that the large majority of respondents were female (86.5%). The most proportion of respondents were aged between 26-30 years (37.5%). More than three fifth of respondents were single (63.5%). Almost one in three of respondents were employees (31%) and 29.5% of respondents were students. Just less than a half of respondents had an average income of 15,001- 20,000 baht per month (44.5%). The large majority of respondents obtained a bachelor degree (71.3%). The horoscope cards was the most popular astrology among respondents (44.5%). After respondents got horoscope services, they said it could reduce their stress in medium level (55.3%) and one fifth of respondents paid about 100-200 baht per time for horoscope (20.8%).
The results of hypotheses testing indicated that (1) gender was not significantly related to stress levels and the purchases frequency of horoscope services, (2) status was significantly related to stress levels and the purchases frequency of horoscope services, (3) educational levels were significantly related to stress levels and the purchases frequency of horoscope services.
