Abstract: Study on composting of pig manure sludge from anaerobic waste treatment plant type Channel Digester with several bulking agents were monitored within 94 days. C/N Ratios of bulking agent such as rice straw, water hyacinth, rice husk and filter cake were 39.24,40.30,32.40 and 38.56, respectively. The pH of dry and wet sludge were 7.20 and 7.60, respectively and C/N Ratio of dry and wet sludge were 32.40 and 14.52, respectively but the samples had very low content of microorganisms because the sludge came from the treatment plant. The mesophilic microorganisms of dry and wet sludge were 5.00x105 CFU/g and 4.90x105 CFU/g, respectively. The thermophilic microorganisms of dry and wet sludge were 2.00x 104 and 2.90x 104 CFU/g, respectively.The low temperature was the major factor affecting to the composting process. C/N Ratio in samples were lower than 20 except the sample of sludge with filter cake which had C/N Ratio lower than 20 in 2 weeks leading to the low nutrients. The rice husk was difficult to decompose because it consisted of cellulose and lignin. The seed germination of the tomato (Lycopersicon esculentutn Mill) was studied. The compost consisted of dry sludge mixed water hyacinth and rice husk resulted the highest seed germination of 90%. Rice husk was anticaking agent leading to a lot of pore in compost and ventilation of air and temperature. The finished compost had crumb and black but the potassium content in the compost was low, thus needed to adjust potassium content. The low temperature could not destroy the samolnella in the compost samples.
