Abstract:
From data in year 2002, the average emission rate of carbon monoxide (CO) and nitrogen oxide (NOx) from 108 megawatt co-generation combine cycle power plant, using natural gas as a fuel, at Laem Chabang Industrial Estate were estimated to be 0.506 and 13.392 g/s, respectively. In addition, the yearly average natural gas consumption was 4.985 kg/s. Therefore the emission factors were determined to be 1,01x10-~ and 2.69x10'~for CO and NOx, respectively. The dispersion of CO and NOx were predicted using ISCST3 model within 10 kilometers in radius from the power plant. The results showed that most of concentrations of CO and NOx were found at around 3-5 kilometers from the power plant during February and September. The hourly ambient concentrations for CO and NOx were in the ranges of 0.002-0.06 and 0.05-1.1 micrograms per cubic meter, respectively. However, these concentrations were not exceeded the standard limit value.
