Abstract:
The objective of the research was to study problems and solutions of using Curriculum at schools under Buriram Primary Educational Service Area Office 2. The samples Were selected from 20% of the total population via a stratified random sampling. They consisted of 532 informants including 46 school administrators and 486 teachers. Moreover, five school administrators, who were purposively selected, were interviewed. The research tools were composed of a questionnaire and an interview. The obtained data analyzed using a package computer program. The findings revealed that: 1) Problems of using the school curriculum were overall found at a moderate level. Having considered each aspect, it showed that problems of quality supervision were ranked first at a moderate level and found at the highest average level. These problems were followed by planning and developing curriculum while support was a problem at the least level. 2) Guidelines for solving these problems of using the school curriculum were as follows: for planning and developing the curriculum, the project of curriculum development should be plannedand the meeting for curriculum discussions should also be held before the start of each semester. Moreover, opinions of personnel and teachers should be surveyed and used for solutions. For the support, the space for keeping data and instructional materials should be provided for teachers and students who can use this space to produce materials together. For quality supervision, the school personnel should be invited to take part in intimal evaluation in all stages, and their positive attitude towards the curriculum evaluation should also be supported.
