Abstract:
This research deals with the case study of people's satisfaction upon bypass superhighway in Larnpang Province.The objective is to study the level of satisfaction upon the construction of bypass Lampang superhighway with two sampling groups; those who live around the constructing site and use this route to commute, and those who happen to use the route under the construction. In addition, the level of satisfaction between the two sampling groups will be compared by selecting from quota sampling with the population of 370. The instruments used in collecting data were questionnaires. The data analysis employed in this study were frequency, percentage, and t-test. The result of the research shows that people have moderate satisfaction upon the unimproved section and the section being constructed. However,with the already constructed section people are moderately satisfied with the physical appearance and convenience, but they are least satisfied with safety. These is significantly different at the level of 0.01 in comparison of satisfaction between the two groups using the route in terms of physical appearance safety, and convenience. People are more satisfied with the unimproved route that the improved one. In conclusion the study found out that the improvement of Lampang bypass superhighway may not fulfill the people's expectation. As a result, the level of satisfaction upon theimproved section is lower than unimproved section.
