Abstract: งานวิจัยเชิงสร้างสรรค์นี้เป็นบทประพันธ์และเรียบเรียงเสียงประสานเพลงแจ๊สออร์เคส-ตราร่วมสมัยบทใหม่ บทประพันธ์เพลงเดอะคอนฟิวส์ชันอินโซไซตี้สำหรับแจ๊สออร์เคสตรำ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อนาเสนอวิธีการประพันธ์ และการเรียบเรียงเสียงประสานแบบดนตรีแจ๊สดั้งเดิมผนวกกับดนตรีแจ๊สร่วมสมัยซึ่งเป็นการใช้โน้ตทานองหลักจากกลุ่มโน้ตสั้น ๆ และขยายแนวทานองโดยการใช้แนวคิดรูปแบบประโยคแบบถาม-ตอบ อีกทั้งการใช้โน้ตจังหวะข้ามและการใช้โน้ตจังหวะขัด มีการวางเสียงประสานแบบไม่เรียงลาดับ การใช้เสียงประสานแบบโมดัล และมีการใช้อัตราจังหวะที่ไม่สมมาตร รวมถึงการใช้อัตราจังหวะผสม นอกจากนี้ยังมีช่วงให้ผู้บรรเลงได้ด้นสดเพื่อแสดงออกถึงความสามารถและแนวคิดสาหรับการบรรเลงด้วย บทประพันธ์มีความยาวประมาณ 9 นาที และยังได้รับโอกาสแสดงในงานมันเดย์ไนท์ไลฟ์ครั้งที่ 4 (Monday Night Live Part IV) บรรเลงโดยวงแจ๊สออร์เคสตราแห่งมหาวิทยาลัยรังสิต เมื่อวันที่ 26 พฤษภาคม พ.ศ. 2557 ณ ศูนย์วัฒนธรรมแห่งประเทศไทย

Abstract: This Creative Research is the new composition and harmony arrangement of a contemporary jazz orchestra. THE MUSICAL COMPOSITION OF THE CONFUSION IN SOCIETY FOR JAZZ ORCHESTRA aimed at presenting the method of compositions and harmony arrangements of traditional jazz together with contemporary jazz. This is the using of the main note from a short motif and then expanding the descant by adopting the concept of question and answer (Q&A) There are further using Cross Rhythm and Rhythm Syncopation, Non-functional harmony, Modal harmony, and Asymmetric Meter including Mixed Meters. Moreover, musicians can also create improvisation in order to show the capability and the instrumental idea. The composition is around nine minutes long. In addition, it was given an opportunity to be performed at the Monday Night Live Part IV Concert, playing by Rangsit University Jazz Orchestra on May 26th, 2014 at Thailand Cultural Centre.
