Promoting health with exercise is the lowest health investment, and very useful both for physical health, mental health and social health. It also helps to reduce the burden of government on public health care. Students at Kanchanabhishek Institute of Medical and Public Health Technology have to work as health workers, as a model for exercise for the health of the people. This study sought to determine the relationship between health promoting motivation and student exercise. The sample consisted of 176 students enrolled in Years 1-4. Data were collected by sending questionnaires to the classroom, and analyzed by descriptive statistics and Pearsons correlation.
Results showed most students were female (76.1%), studying in Medical record program (55.1%) follow by Thai traditional medicine (34.1%) and Medical audiovisual (10.8%). The most students studying in their first year (39.8%) follow by second year (30.1%) , rest third year (15.9%) and four year (14.2%). The student had been an athlete(35.8%) and had plump Body Mass Index (19.9%). The student had motivation for health moderated ( = 108.2, SD = 12.9, % = 67.6), the side with the highest average rating were noxiousness ( = 28.3, SD = 3.7, % = 70.7) , follow by response efficacy ( = 27.0, SD = 4.3, % = 67.5), self- efficacy ( = 26.6, SD = 4.2, % = 66.5) and perceivel probability ( = 26.4, SD = 3.6, % = 66.0). The exercise and motivation to promote overall health had positively correlated (r = 0.173, p = .022) ,separation each side showed the exercise had positively correlated with response efficacy (r = 0.238, p = .001), self-efficacy (r = 0.162, p = .032) and had been an athlete (r = 0.201, p = .008). Therefore, should encourage students to exercise by increasing their motivation to promote health.
