Abstract:
This research aims to: 1) study motivation enhancement on teaching practices of teachers under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office 11; 2) create a model of motivation enhancement on efficient teaching practices of teachers under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office 11; and 3) evaluate feasibility of the developed model of motivation. The research was conducted 3 steps by using a questionnaire with 341 teachers and interviewing 10 school administrators in step 1; group conversation with 15 experts in step 2 for developing a motivation enhancement model; and using a questionnaire with 56 school administrators for evaluating the developed model in the last step. The data were analyzed by percentage, mean, Standard Deviation, and content analysis.
The findings indicated that: 1) A status of the motivation enhancement on teaching practices of teachers under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office 11 was at a high level. 2) The model of motivation enhancement on efficient teaching practices of teachers under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office 11 comprises of 9 components: (1) value perception on teaching profession, (2) role and involvement of explicit operational goal determination, (3) significant job designation or distribution for personnel, (4) good relationship with all levels of colleagues, (5) work culture building with focus on teamwork value, (6) personnel promotion and development on class research, (7) continuous and systematical personnel supervision, (8) performance evaluation with faithfulness, justice, quality and transparency, and (9) motivation with developmental reward. 3) The overall results of suitability evaluation and practical feasibility on the developed model were at the highest level.
