Abstract:
The objectives of this research were to develop an administration model of on-the-job training (OJT) in the workplace for Diploma in Aircraft Technology students, Civil Aviation Training Center by mixed methods research. The research composed of 3 steps: First, a study on present status of on-the-job training by content analysis from documental research, e-materials, and by interview with 15 stakeholders. Second, a development of model that included a group of 30 experts. Third, an evaluation of the administration model by a group of 5 experts to confirm an accuracy of the developed model.
The results of the research were that the administration model of on-the-job training in the workplace for Diploma in Aircraft Technology students, Civil Aviation Training Center composes of 4 main dimensions: 1) OJT schedule planning consists of pre-preparation and operation; 2) Supervision and counseling consist of supervision skill, management skill, technical skill, and human relations skill; 3) Characteristics of trainees consist of basic knowledge, professional knowledge, and personality; and 4) Evaluation of performance consists of OJT evaluation process and OJT evaluation review process. Based on the developed model assessment get results that the developed model is at the most appropriate level.
