A STUDY OF THE CONDITION AND WORK PROBLEMS IN THE PREPRIMARYSCHOOL EDUCATION SERVICE PROVISION OF PRANAKHON SI AYUTTHAYASUBDISTRICT ADMINISTRATIVE ORGANAZATIONS
Abstract:
This research aims to study the condition and work problems in the preprimary school education service provision of Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya subdistrict administrative organizations. The sample group consisted of the presidents of 21 Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya subdistrict administrative organizations and teachers. The instruments for data gathering took the form of data recording and questionnaire survey. Statistical methods used in data analysis were frequency and percentage. Findings indicated that:
1. The overall condition of the preprimary school education service provision of Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya subdistrict administrative organizations. Included 6 practices: management, practical training, personnel, place and environment maintenance, media and supplies, security, sanitation, and nutrition. Those 100 percent practiced involved promoting knowledge and teaching skills, determining methods and recruitment of teachers, encouraging and supporting knowledge development of teachers, preparing locations to be suitable and facilitate the practical training, monitoring sanitation and security, providing supplies, providing learning media in classrooms and outdoors, and providing health check-ups and immunization. Only media production was 50 percent practiced.
2. The overall work problems in the preprimary school education service provision of Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya subdistrict administrative organizations. Were found in 5 practices including: management, practical training, personnel, place and environment maintenance, and media and supplies. The work problems faced the most dealt with testing quality of food supplements (milk), while the ones less experienced involved educational supervision, media production, technology and innovation use, and activity handbooks. Problems were not found in security, sanitation, and nutrition.
3. The overall solutions for the work of the preprimary school education service provision of Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya subdistrict administrative organizations. Included proposing solutions through organizing meetings, trainings, seminars and cooperation with related organizations, as well as providing more financial support, documents and handbooks for staff involved, and educational supervision.
