Abstract:
This research focuses on the study of undergraduate students' behavioral intention to informal mobile learning on smartphone based on the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology Model (UTAUT) and on 4 direct determinants of behavioral intention: Performance Expectation, Effort Expectancy, Social Influence, and Facilitating Conditions. Data collected from 100 undergraduate students, majoring in Business Information Technology at Rajamangala University of Technology Krungthep and enrolling in summer courses. They voluntarily participated in the informal mobile learning on smartphone within the topic of GIS basics for 2 weeks. Data were collected by questionnaires for 5-point Likert scale 20 items. All had Coefficient a at 0.92. The statistical analysis included Frequency, Percentage, Mean, Standard Deviation (S.D.) and Multiple Regression Analysis. The results showed the undergraduate students' behavioral intention to informal mobile learning on smartphone at a very high level (X = 4.25) and the most influence determinant to undergraduate students' behavioral intention was Effort Expectancy. Therefore, the results of this study can provide a guideline to consider the factors in supporting appropriate informal mobile learning.
