Perception of lean manufacturing system support and knowledge management potential of production employees of Nifco (Thailand) Company Limited in Amata Nakorn industrial estate, Chonburi Province
Abstract:
The present study aims to examine the effects of personal factors on potential of lean manufacturing system knowledge management and to investigate effects of perception on lean manufacturing system support on potential of knowledge management of employees of Nifco (Thailand) Company Limited. Sample group was 249 employees of Nifco (Thailand) Company Limited. Descriptive statistics used to analyze data include frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation. Inferential statistics used were independent sampling t-test and One-way ANOVA. The investigation of the relationship between perception on lean system support (4 aspects), i.e. information, work environment, support from overseers, and resources, and potential of knowledge management on lean system was conducted with Multiple Regression Analysis. The findings revealed that employees of Nifco (Thailand) Company Limited had potential to manage their knowledge on lead system in the high level. The results on personal factors showed that only different gender found no difference in potential of knowledge management of lean system. When other factors, i.e. age, level of education, position, work experience, and income, were different, potential of knowledge management of lean system was found the differences. The results on relationship between perception on lean system support and potential of knowledge management of lean system indicated that only information found having no effect on potential of knowledge management of lean system. The other factors, i.e. work environment, support from overseers, and resources, were found the effects on potential of knowledge management of lean system. They possessed positive relationship.
