Abstract:
This research attempts to study level of public perception contributing to academic service role of Aksorn Pattaya Technological College classifying by gender, age, education, income, status in the community, and length of stay in community. The subject were 512 residents residing near the college. Five-rating-scale questionnaires were applied to study whilst the statistics included average, standard deviation, t-test, and One-Way ANOVA. The findings reveal that: 1. Learning levels of public toward academic service of Aksorn Pattaya Technological College in overall and in each aspect were at moderate level. It could arrange from the greatest to the least as follows: knowledge publication and technology implementation in the community, short-course training, and knowledge resources to develop community. 2. When comparing levels of public perception of community toward academic service of Aksorn Pattaya Technological College classifying by gender, age, education, income, status in the community, and length of stay in community, it was found that there were different at statistically significant level of 0.05 in overall. In fact, females gained higher level of perception than males. When considering in each aspect, it was found that different gender were different in public perception level on short-course training, knowledge publication and technology implementation in the community at statistically significant level (p < .05) whilst there were not different in knowledge resources to develop community.
