Abstract:
This research attempts to study factors influencing purchase intention on supplementary products for elderly in Bangsean Municipality, Chon Buri Province. The subjects included 400 elderly intended to purchase supplementary products through convenience sampling technique. The instrument in this study was questionnaires and the statistics to analyze the data were descriptive statistics as well as to test the hypothesis, Independent Sample t-test ,One-way Analysis of Variance,Least Significant Difference (LSD), and Multiple Linear Regression Analysis were applied at the statistically significant level of 0.05. The findings reveal that the majority of respondents were females, were between 55-64 years old, obtained primary school level of education, were married, earned the average monthly income of less than 10,000 baht. It was found from testing the first hypothesis that elderly with different number of family members, marital status, and education had different in factors to support the health care differently. The findings from second hypothesis indicate that factors contributing to health care had an impact on purchase intention on supplementary products of elderly. When ranging the means from greatest to the least, the variables were attitudes toward supplementary products, perception on the benefit in disease treatment and prevention, perception on efficiency in controlling behavior, respectively. Influencing by reference group and perception on competency to control behavior did not have any influences on purchase intention of supplementary products among elderly
