Abstract:
This study attempts 1) to study influence of marketing orientation factors toward customers' satisfaction affecting buying decision for drug and medical supplies from drugstore; and 2) to study influence of service quality toward customers' satisfaction affecting buying decision for drug and medical supplies from drugstore. The subjects were 400 customers of drugstores in Bang Lamung District, Chon Buri Province. The research instrument in this study was rating-scale questionnaire passing validity and reliability test. The data were analyzed to find frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation and multiple linear regression. The findings reveal that marketing orientation factors contributing to customers' satisfaction affected buying decision for drug and medical supplies from drugstore in the aspects of customer orientation and internal coordination. The study on competitor orientation that most factors did not influence customers' satisfaction and service quality factors having an impact on customers' satisfaction affected buying decision for drug and medical supplies from drugstore included reliability, empathy, responsiveness, assurance, and tangibles. It was found that most factors did not influence customers' satisfaction affected buying decision for drug and medical supplies from drugstore. Therefore, variables that entrepreneur of drugstore should bring to their consideration included customer orientation, internal coordination, reliability, empathy, and responsiveness since these variables impacted on customers' satisfaction from drugstore in order to respond to their demand. This could support the drugstore business.
