Abstract:
The purposes of this study were to investigate a level of work motivation among employees working for sub-district administrative organizations in Amphoe Panthong, Chon Buri Province and to compare the level of work motivation as classified by gender, age, amount of income, educational level, current position, and work length. The data were collected from 138 employees working for sub-district administrative organizations in Amphoe Panthong, Chon Buri Province. The statistical tests used to analyze the collected data included frequency, percentage, stand deviation, t-test, and One-way ANOVA. The test of Scheffe was also administered to test the differences between pairs. The results of this study revealed that the level of work motivation among employees working for sub-district administrative organizations in Amphoe Panthong, Chon Buri Province was at a very good level. While the aspect of work motivation in relation to work environment was rated at a high level, the one relating to job advancement was rated at a low level. In addition, based on the results from the comparisons, it was shown that there were no statistically significant differences in the level of work motivation among the subjects who had different gender, age, educational level, current position, and work length. Finally, a statistically significant difference was found in the level of work motivation among the subjects who had different amount of income at a significant level of .05.
