Abstract:
This study aimed to study trade and investment trend of rough sawn kiln dried rubber wood in Thailand, supply and demand situation of rubber wood in China, identify and evaluate risk factors; how it impacted the average production efficiency of Thai rubber wood sawn export to China industry. Secondary data, filed visit and questionnaires were conducted to gather the data. The results showed that there was the upward trend for Thai RSKD investment and trade regarding the new coming producers and expansion from existing manufacturers which went against the demand situation in China where the demand was expected to decrease temporarily for reasons such as the Environmental Protection Tax Policy. Furthermore, statistically significant result with the confidence intervals of 95%, market, systemic, and operational risk were factors that negatively impact the average production efficiency. Thai government and rubber wood sawn exporter could use the result as a guide to carefully develop strategy or plan for future business.
