An Investigation into the Factors Affecting the Behavior of Internet use of Students at Vocational Diploma level 2 in Technical Colleges under Vocational Department at bangkok Zone
Abstract:
The objectives of this research were to study about the factors affecting the behavior of Internet use ofstudents at Vocational Diploma level 2 in Technical Colleges under Vocational Department at Bangkok zone, in the academic year of 2000. A statified random sampling of 361 students had been selected in the study. The instruments consisted of questionnaires. The statistical methods that had been used to analyze the data were percentage, mean, standard deviation, correlation, and path analysis. The results indicated that , from the analysis of factors affecting the behavior of Internet use of students, (1) Internet Attitude directly affected to the Behavior of Internet use, and indirectly through the Use and Gratificationsuse of Internet, (2) Use and Gratifications with Internet directly affected to the Behavior of Internet use, (3) Expectancy-Value from Internet directly affected to the Behavior of Internet use, and indirectly through the Use and Gratifications with Internet, (4) Learning achievement affected to the Behavior of Internet use indirectly through Internet Attitude, and the frequency of use Internet, and, (5) the frequency of use of Internet directly affected to the Behavior of Internet use.
