Abstract: This research was to study the situations,problems and needs of computer forlearning and teaching of nursing institutes in Thailand. The sample of this studyconsisted of 935 teachers from the institute of nursing which were selected by stratifiedrandom sampling technique.The research tools were the constructed questionnaires which were divided intotwo parts; check list and rating scale. Statistics applied in the study were percentage,mean and standard deviation. F-test and t-test were also used to examine the data fors i d c a n t differences.The result of this study indicated that most nursing Mtutes have very smallnumber of computer lecturers. Most lecturers have insufficient knowledge and skill forteaching, they also have less time for using computers which are not enough for practice.Therefore, lecturers require adequate number of computers, for their offices.
