A study of status and internet requirement for education of teachers in the technical colleges which are the region network center of vocational education department
Abstract:
This thesis was to study the internet usage status and requirement for teachers in theTechnical College where were the regional internet network center of Vocational Department.The research had been made by classified random from selected inquiry that had been approvedby the specialist. The confidential value was 0.8563. This value data was researched fromIndustrial, Commercial, Common-relation teachers who work in the regional internet networkcenter of Vocational Department. There were 280 persons as trial group selected from 548persons. The SPSS program was operated as monitoring tool for data analysis. It was capable tocalculate for frequency value, percentage, average value, standard variable mean and analyzevariable requirement of the internet for the teachers' study. The analysis process was to comparethe group data by subject base on Scheffe's method.The result was found that: Generally, most of the colleges internet system had connected with internet networkon the same lease circuit with speed 64K. The circuit had connected from the network center atthe Deputy of Ministry of Education. As the internet searching browser had been done at thecollege more than at home, therefore, most of web browsers had been searched from outsidemodem to find out for educational data. Nevertheless, most of the teachers had been supportedby providing internet usage training under the budget provided from educational fee fromInternet network center. Most of the internet network centers for education had their ownhomepages to propagate colleges' news and network data to the public by linking circuit on localarea network (LAN) with other campuses that were under control of the Vocational Department.By these homepages, the teachers and students could search the educational data to improve theirteaching and studying respectively. Totally, the internet usage for education was highlyrequired. In the meantime, they needed to be provided the budget and equipment to use forinternet network as priority. Moreover, the availability in searching data and operating remotelocal area network were needed as secondary respectively. The analysis result for variablerequirement of internet usage for education of teachers that came from the comparable data bysubject, had been concluded that the internet requirement for education was the same significantat 0.05 variable value.
