Abstract:
The purepose of this research were to analyze and to describe the major factors that affectedvocational competencies of refrigeration and air-conditioned technicians. The sample chosen forthis study were 452 of Electrical Power instructors at Vocational Technical Colleges and 184 ofrefrigeration and air-conditioned technicians. The total sample for study were 636. The instrumentused for data collection was 7 rating scales. The reliability of the instrument calculated by CronbachAlpha Coefficient was 0.9945. The data was analyzed by using means ( ? ), Standard Deviation(S.D.) and Analysis of factors by Principal Component Analysis technique : PCA, orthogonalrotation axis by Varimax Method. The results of the study were as follows :1. There were 5 major factors that affected the knowledge of refrigeration and airconditionedtechnician as follow : (1) Component and working principle of refrigeration and airconditioned,(2) basic knowledge for electrical industrial,(3) symbols and types of electrical materials, (4) principles of installation and swaging copper tube, and (5) principal and procedures of industrial safety. There factors could be explained from 73.460% of the total variance. A study of Correlation Coefficient between 5 and 50 factors was 0.471 0.792 and Correlation Coefficient between 5 factors with that affected refrigeration and airconditionedtechnicians knowledge was 0.502 0.704, which was in high level. CorrelationCoefficient within the 5 internal factors was of 0.013 0.061, which was in low level. Theregression or predicting equation that affected refrigeration and air-conditioned techniciansknowledge industries was :Y = 0.596(Component/Principles) + 0.691(Basic Knowledge) + 0.502(Symbols/Types) +0.624(Application/ Principles) + 0.704(Safety)The predicting equation has the power of prediction 40% and the error of prediction was 20%2. There were 3 major factors that affected refrigeration and air-conditioned techniciansskills as follows: (1) refrigeration and air-conditioned installation system, (2) communication andcomputer application, and (3) tools and equipment for installation. These factors could be explainedfrom 74.647% of the total variance. A study of Correlation Coefficient between 3 and 38 factorswas 0.517 0.820 and Correlation Coefficient between 3 factors with that affected refrigeration andair-conditioned technicians skills was 0.656 0.989, which was in high level. CorrelationCoefficient within the 3 internal factors was of 0.014 0.061, which was in low level. Theregression or predicting equation that affected refrigeration and air-conditioned technicians skillswas:Y = 0.989(System) + 0.755(Communication) + 0.656(Tools)The predicting equation has the power of prediction 66.667% and the error of prediction was33.333%3. There were 3 major factors that affected refrigeration and air-conditioned techniciansworking habits as follow: (1) personal characteristics and personality,(2) learning organization, and (3) human relationship. These factors could be explained from77.192% of the total variance. A study of Correlation Coefficient between 3 and 31 factors was0.541 0.814 and Correlation Coefficient between 3 factors with that affected refrigeration and airconditionedtechnicians working habits was 0.645 0.997, which was in high level. CorrelationCoefficient within the 3 internal factors was 0.047 0.120, which was in low level. The regressionor predicting equation that affected refrigeration and air-conditioned technicians working habitswas:Y = 0.645(Personality) + 0.997(Learning Organization) + 0.764(Human Relationship)The predicting equation has the power of prediction 66.667% and the error of prediction was 33.333%
