Abstract:
The purposes of this study were: 1) to develop the efficiency of participatory learning on knowledge of Basic Medical Investigation Course for the fifth year medical students In order to meet the standard criterion set at 75/75; 2) to compare the learning achievement of the fifth year medical students before and after learning by participatory learning on knowledge of Basic Medical Investigation Course; 3) to investigate the effectiveness index after learning by participatory learning on knowledge of Basic Medical Investigation Course; and 4) to study the satisfaction of the fifth year medical students towards the participatory learning on knowledge of Basic Medical Investigation Course. The samples of the study were 30 fifth year medical students in the Faculty Medicine at Suranaree University of Technology who studied in Buriram Medical Education Center at Buriram Hospital. The research instruments used were 6 lesson plans of the participatory learning on knowledge of Basic Medical Investigation Course, achievement tests, and questionnaire. The statistics used to analyze the collected data were mean, percentage, and standard deviation. The hypothesis was tested by dependent sample t-test.
The findings were as follows:
1) The efficiency of participatory learning on knowledge of Basic Medical Investigation Course was 79.50/78.58 which was higher than the standard criterion set at 75/75.
2) The fifth year medical students who learning by using the participatory learning on knowledge of Basic Medical Investigation Course hah a significantly higher mean score of learning achievement after learning than before learning at the .05 level.
3) The effectiveness index of the participatory learning on knowledge of Basic Medical Investigation Course was 0.6123 or 61.23 %.
4) The fifth year medical students were satisfied with the participatory learning on knowledge of Basic Medical Investigation Course at a high level.
