Abstract:
The purpose of this research were to study Status, Problems and Need on Computer Using in Upper of Opportunity School Step Standard Under in Bangkok Metropolitan. Sixty administrators and 690 students from 60 Upper of Opportunity School Step Standard Under were sampling groups. Data were analyzed by using Frequency, Percentage, Mean and Standard Error. The findings were as follows:1. The status of computer using in the schools mainly concerned about issuing academic, project and schedule plan, recording of absence statistics, typing government letters, issuing building and plan diagram, and issuing documents for promoting the schools. For instruction, basic computer mostly students could use such as turning on, shutting down and using programs. There were insufficient computers for the students. The students used to go to the Internet Caf?. The students educational record were grade 4.2. The problems on computer using for administration purposes at school concerned about lack of the followings: a Local Area Network (LAN), budget for purchasing computers and specific programs, knowledge in programs developing, person in its field, computers for community service. For instruction, there were insufficient computers and computer rooms.3. The need in computer using for administration were as follows: increasing a number of computers and budget for computer maintenance, staff training on modern hardware and software program. There were also the need of increasing a number of computers and computer labs. Thedesired ratio of computers to students should be 1:1. Internet connection for seeking informationshould be available.
