Abstract:
The purposes of the research entitled A Study on Dairy Farm Productivity: a case study of Proportion Dairy Farms and of Dairy Farmer Cooperative Members in Phayao Province was to study the condition of dairy farms and to find out suggestions for a suitable proportion of dairy farmsand dairy farm cooperative members in Phayao Province. The study focused on the present condition of dairy farms, including factors affecting the productivity of dairy farms and the cooperative members in Phayao Province. The study also aimed to study the proportion of dairy farms using a mixed method of research. 20 questionnaires were used for collecting data and the sample groupware dairy farmers in Phayao province which were divided into 2 groups: 1) 8 dairy farmer cooperative members in Muang District and 2) 12 dairy farmer cooperative members in Dok Kham Tai District. The data was analyzed using percentage, mean and a focus group for 10 people. The study found that the suggestions for dairy farm productivity were in accordance with the required hypothesis; i.e. that the productivity of raw milk could be completed by suitable proportion. The farmers had the proportion of dairy farms which was similar to the standard and the ratio of productivity was in line with the required conditions. The dairy farm owners were eager to increase the quantity of the raw milk average. The study also aimed to manage the dairy farm in terms of the species of dairy farm, breeding, animal food management, rising of animals in each stage, diseases and sanitation in the farm, proportion of dairy farms, respectively. In addition, the owners wanted to increase the efficiency of the control of and protection against diseases, the quality control of cow milk, establishment of a cooperation network, and promotion of milk consumption
